We were stoked to be back in Prince George to play - the last time we were here was the Coldsnap Festival in 2013. Nancy O's treated us like kings (pun intended). Where else in northern bc can you get fried chicken and waffles? Food was amazing and the staff are fantastic. It was definitely the smallest stage we've ever packed ourselves into but it was a blast. People dancin', hot n' sweaty at the end of a show is our best reward, so thanks, PG. And thanks also to Rosewood's Diary for playing an opening set - we love playing with other northern musicians, and they're total gems. Ever listened to Daybreak North on CBC? They're the Vanderhoof based band that wrote the intro music for the program.
Speaking of Daybreak North - we were happy to see Andrew Kurjata in the room. He even wore a high vis vest for his night ride home after the show. Andrew and the whole crew at Daybreak North have been awesome supporters of ours and Andrew gave us our favourite endorsement ever on the show recently. It went something like this:
"If you are looking for something to do this Saturday night, you could do worse than go see King Crow and the Ladies From Hell," - Andrew Kurjata, Associate Producer, CBC Prince George
We're taking two nights to make our way down to Vancouver for our next gig at The Railway Club, Tuesday, June 10 with special guests ska sensations, Brehdren.
